Boulder County’s Foster Care program fully supports Therapeutic Foster Care Providers with:

Medicaid for EVERY child in foster care,
Specialized therapeutic services,
A monthly stipend ranging from $900 – $3000 per month, per child, based on the needs of the child.

Boulder County’s Foster Care staff values its Therapeutic Foster Families as members of their children’s treatment team. Some of the most important elements in serving children and families are the insights into a child’s behavior that Therapeutic Foster Families provide.

Your life experiences can provide life-changing opportunities for children in foster care.

Please Support Music Therapy Registration Bill HB 1137

This bill will create a much needed state registry for board-certified music therapists. HB 1137 will protect Colorado consumers of music therapy and make sure that only those credentialed professionals can work as a “music therapist” in Colorado. THIS IS A COST-NEUTRAL BILL.

If you can, please contact your state representative and share with them a few sentences about the impact of music therapy on your child and how you believe a registry for board certified music therapists is needed to ensure access to appropriately educated and credentialed professionals.

Sensory Friendly Films

The Autism Society of America and AMC have teamed up to host special showings of films on the first Saturday of each month at 10 am at AMC locations nationwide (locally at the AMC Flatirons Crossing and AMC Westminster 24 locations). It’s a way to bring families affected by autism a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment. The movie auditoriums have their lights brought up a bit and the sound turned down. Previews and commercials are not played in advance of the movie, and the “Silence is Golden” policy is not enforced.
