The mission of both the Autism Society of Boulder County and Wrightslaw is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to advocate effectively for children with disabilities.

The program is not disability specific and Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of:

  • parents
  • educators,
  • health care and service providers,
  • advocates and attorneys who represent children with disabilities regarding special education.
  • This one-day special education law and advocacy program focuses on four areas:
  • special education law, rights and responsibilities
  • tests and measurements to measure progress & regression
  • SMART IEPs
  • introduction to tactics & strategies for effective advocacy
