The Autism Society of Boulder County (ASBC) was founded in 2001 as a parent support group and evolved into a local national Autism Society chapter supporting Boulder and Broomfield Counties in Colorado. It is a volunteer-run, charitable 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation that relies on donations and proceeds from an annual fundraiser to fund its activities and respite grants.
The Autism Society of Boulder County is a registered charity with the Colorado Secretary of State under the name Autism Society of America — Boulder County Chapter. Its Board is elected during the ASBC annual meeting, which takes place each May.
The ASBC supports an estimated 1,700 families and professionals through education and awareness programs, bi-monthly e-newsletters, resource referrals and other educational and community services in Northern Colorado.
